What is the job in a Nutshell? As a maintenance technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.
Your role will involve performing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Ideal Candidate Wish ListHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plusExperience as a maintenance or facilities technician, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environmentExperience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of success as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teamsAble to make decisions and work independently with minimal supervisionHave a working knowledge of at least two of the following:
Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, ElectricityAble to read and understand blueprints, drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematicsElectrical/ladder logic skillsUnderstanding of electric motors, starters, switches, photocells, etc.
Familiarity with CMMS work order systemsAbility to write parts requests, complete work orders and write corrective work ordersUnderstanding of preventive maintenanceFood manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirementsAbility to always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Computer literacyMust be able to read and write English PLC skills a plus Day to Day Job DutiesConduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipmentPerform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the facilityIdentify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to ensure optimal equipment performanceKeep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any potential issuesRespond to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptlyDiagnose problems, analyze root causes, and carry out necessary repairs or replacementsEnsure compliance with safety and food safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activitiesIdentify and address potential hazards or unsafe conditions promptlyCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams; communicate equipment status, maintenance schedules, and updates to relevant stakeholdersOther duties as assignedAbout the Company:
