Cost Accounting Manager

QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related field 7-10 years of related experience SAP experience Preferred:
MBA and/or CPA/CMA Skills & Competencies:
Extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area Proven success managing both people and projects.
Able to solve problems analytically.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work accurately with numbers Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as printer, telephone, etc.
Responsibilities:
Perform monthly closing activities including variance and trend analysis of accounts, journal entries and reconciliations on a timely basis.
Participate in quarterly actual vs budget reviews with corporate controller and management to present costing analysis, cost forecasts, material, and labor cost variances.
Discussions to yield actional items for improvements.
Lead all costing and inventories management activities regarding developing standard costs and overhead rates, reviewing BOM, PPV, absorptions and GAAP costs together with supply chain and corporate controller to ensure all are up to date and accurate.
Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain and quality departments to appropriately execute inventory processing and movements within the ERP system.
Assist corporate controller with reviewing and overseeing capital expenditures as well as calculating and evaluating the efficiency and return on investment of a capital.
Partner with Operations leadership to support initiatives and projects from a Finance perspective, including buy vs make and contract manufacturing decisions.
Prepare cost models and what-if scenarios to evaluate potential outcomes of actions considered by management team.
Attend all material review board meetings and provide financial guidance as necessary.
Support and challenge supply chain teams in performance measurement, management reviews, cost reduction and investment decisions.
Create and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure that financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with GAAP.
Coordinate and conduct annual inventory physical counts and monthly cycle counts.
Reconcile differences and make inventory adjustments.
Assist corporate controller and management with annual budget.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
