Senior IT Application Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Senior IT Application Engineer, at our West Chester Regional Office.
The Senior IT Application Engineer will be responsible for the development and support of electronic data between Cleveland-Cliffs and its customers and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will be able to work day shift with a 24x7 on-call rotating weekly, minimum of 2 weeks per month.
Summary of
Responsibilities:
Develop and support of electronic data between Cleveland-Cliffs and its customers/vendors Determine new requirements and design for EDI requests Monitor and investigate existing EDI transmissions and respond to alerts Troubleshoot for internal and external customers of existing data transmissions Utilize fluency in multiple EDI Transformation and Communication development tools and in-depth knowledge of MicroFocus COBOL development and support tools Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronic Engineering, or related field 5 years experience as an Application Developer 5 years experience with developing and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 5 years experience with reading, writing and interpreting EDI technical specifications specific to steel manufacturing requirements and other documentation 5 years experience working with data mapping to X12, EDIFACT, HTML, IDOC, CSV 5 years experience developing and supporting COBOL, SAS, DCL and PL1 code in a mainframe and MicroFocus environment 5 years experience working with OpenText BizManager 5 years experience working with IBM Sterling VAN and InFlight 5 years experience working with MicroFocus / Mainframe environment COBOL, DB2 database development, support, and enhancement skills 5 years experience working with communications specific to steel manufacturing using SFTP, AS1, AS2, WEbService, DMD, Van 3 years of experience working with dBeaver database tool and Visual Studios and ESMAC.
5 years experience working with cross functional teams in business and technical groups Preferred
