The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with clients, maintaining case files, preparing and filing legal documents with the court, and managing the attorney's calendar.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, and be able to work independently.
This is a 32 hour per week position (Monday through Thursday), but employer has some flexibility.
Prior experience in family law is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain legal documents and files.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents.
Meet with clients to help prepare various forms.
Keep track of deadlines and discovery.
Schedule court dates and client meetings.
Communicating with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, filing documents, and managing office supplies.
